Sharanya Ari, an engineering graduate from SRM University has secured the seventh rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2015.

UPSC IAS Civil Services final result 2016 declared: Today, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the final result of Civil Services Examination 2015 with woman a candidate Tina Dabi  (Roll No 0256747) emerging as the topper.

Sharanya Ari, an engineering graduate from SRM University has cleared her UPSC civil examinations in her fourth try.

Though she didn’t clear her exams the last three times, she achieved an all India rank of 7th in her fourth attempt. Her motivation to keep attempting the examination was her belief that an exam could not judge her capacity.

Her father M. Arivazhagan, retired Air Force officer, motivated her to serve the nation by joining the Indian Administrative Service. Her mother J. Sathya Priya, a teacher at Government Girls Higher Secondary School in East Tambaram, assisted her in preparing for optional subject of sociology.

“After completing B.Tech (IT) from SRM University in 2011, she started preparation for the examination at coaching institutes.
